About

Thanks to vision of my Great grandfather Joe Loomis he started Loomis Company. We opened for business in OKC Oklahoma as a locksmith and gun repair at 222 S Robinson in 1900 (Loomis the Key Man) . Moved in 1920s to 19 S Western and expanded to lawn mower and general repair. We moved into the automotive battery business in 1960 (Loomis Battery). In the 70s we expanded to locations at 41st and S Western and 4 th and N Classen and began selling used cars also. We moved in 1975 to our current location of 1101 W Reno Ave. We expanded into the automotive electrical alternator and starter business also. After our success in winning on the ISCA show car circuit (see awards) it was time for a change in the 90S. With a constant display of corvettes, hot rods and muscle cars at a busy intersection (Reno and Western) a steady flow of new customers arrived. Thanks to great relationships with them we were trusted to build some fantastic cars. In turn they sent their friends. We take great pride in building several record setting cars that sold at the Barrett Jackson collector car auction in Scottsdale Arizona. So after almost 100 years it was time to change our company name to Loomis Automotive and Specialty Cars. We specialize in the collector car repair thanks to the skills of George Ray but also have Juan Cisnero's knowledge on electrical and trouble shooting of late models automobiles. After 115 years of business in Oklahoma City and 50 of them led by Doris Loomis we thank you for your business..........Joe Loomis
